CHRISTOPHER M. FLAHERTY

  • Christopher Flaherty is Chairman and CEO, of 3 Leaf Holdings, Inc., a Hawaii Corporation and small family office. Flaherty’s experience over the past 25 years includes development in apartment, commercial/retail and single family, condo and townhome residential and hotel properties in Hawaii, California, Texas and Arizona. He and his related holdings have developed and or acquired over 2,000 residential units to date in 4 states along with over 200,000 square feet of commercial/retail properties.

    Mr. Flaherty is a Co-Managing partner of Ikenakea Development, LLC, DFA Development, LLC, Pupukahi Development, LLC, a co-managing partner in Ho‘okahua Development, LLC, a co-managing partner in Laulima Development, LLC, co-managing partner in WXSW, Inc., a Texas LLC and Ikenakea Hokele, LLC and also currently the majority shareholder of Trinity Development & Construction, Inc., a Hawaii and California general contracting company.

    Flaherty’s expertise in development and construction has allowed him to orchestrate every phase of a development project, from site selection to assessing environmental impacts and working through financing options and land entitlements. Chris’ expertise in understanding the capital markets and the utilization of financing from low-income housing tax credits, tax-exempt bonds and conventional financing structures has enabled him to close in excess of a half a billion dollars in capital transactions for his projects in which he a sponsor. Chris Flaherty commits himself to every project by taking a hands-on approach throughout all phases of development. Chris is also a founding member of Terra Massa Capital, LLC, which was founded in 2019 and provides capital structure solutions and investment management to his projects. Terra Massa Capital has also undertaken the underwriting and asset management of the projects that Mr. Flaherty is involved. Terra Massa Capital has also helped in raising both debt and equity for many of his projects as well, including the 240 room downtown Chinatown Hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii.

    Chris’ first development project in Hawaii was in partnership with Hawaiian Community Development Board’s, Kali Watson, on a Department of Hawaiian Homelands lease for the Nanakuli Village Center for the Nanakuli Hawaiian Homestead Community Association which was completed in 2019 after 10 long years in the planning.

    Chris resides in the Santa Ynez Valley of California and Honolulu, Hawaii with his wife Stacy and their three children.

 

ANTHONY M. BARKETT

  • Anthony M. Barkett is a California based real estate developer. Mr. Barkett holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of California at Los Angeles, as well as a Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law.

    Mr. Barkett is a member of the Board of Directors of the Downtown Stockton Alliance, a private economic development association located in Stockton, California. In 2013, Mr. Barkett was appointed by Governor Jerry Brown to the California Citizens Compensation Commission, a State commission that sets compensation for the legislature. For the past 15 years, Mr. Barkett has served as a political consultant for the Stockton East Water District.

    Over the past twenty (20) years, Mr. Barkett has been actively involved in real estate development, construction, leasing, and financing.

DANNY FRED

  • Daniel Fred is a Managing Member of DFA Development LLC and its founder. He has extensive financial advisory expertise as well as a broad range of experience in all areas of housing development, including finance, project feasibility and market analysis, program design, land use planning (entitlement permits), and project coordination. Prior to his establishing DFA Development LLC and Fred Consulting Associates, Mr. Fred served as Director of Community Development for the City of Galveston, Texas and Director of Housing Programs for the City of Palo Alto, California.

    Mr. Fred holds a B.A. degree in Anthropology from the University of California at Berkeley (1972) and a Masters in City and Regional Planning from Harvard University (1974).

 

DOUG JENSEN

  • Doug is a San Diego, California based real estate investor and developer. Over the past 35 years, Mr. Jensen has been actively investing, entitling, and developing residential, retail, office and self-storage projects throughout the Southwestern United States.

    Mr. Jensen is President of Dano Companies, Inc. Principal with Douglas Allred Company, Founding investor and Principal with Storage Etc. serves on the Board of Directors of Huntington Hotel Company, Codeable Therapeutics and the Tom Wathen Center for Education in Aviation.

    He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Economics from the University of Southern California, resides in Solana Beach with his wife, Pia, of 34 years. Together they enjoy their two sons, daughter in law and grand daughter.

PAT HARDEN

  • Pat Harden is a Commercial and Residential Construction Project Manager for Trinity development and Construction. Mr. Harden graduated from Reedley College in 1981 with an A.S. in Industrial Technology and Automotive Technology. He is the founder of Pat Harden Tech. Services, established in 1995, and his been a project manager for Trinity Development & Construction Companies since 2006.

    Some of his many projects include, Professional Offices Hotel Stockton, Michael Platt Law Office Hotel Stockton, PG&E Customer Service Office, Coy Parking Garage Stockton, U.S.P.S., Coy Parking Garage Stockton, Open Door Services, Coronado Ave. Stockton, California Rural Legal Assistance Hotel Stockton, Lindsay Apartments, El Solyo Village Senior Apartments, Hallmark Apartments, Auburn Heights Apartments, and Jasmine Heights Apartments, Cal Weber 40 Apartments, Cal Weber 40 Commercial, Medici Artist Lofts, Garden Valley Apartments, Oakhurst Apartments, Pleasant Valley Pines Apartments, Cottage Village Senior Apartments, Affordable Energy Partners solar projects.

 

STEPHEN FLAHERTY

  • Mr. Stephen D. Flaherty joined 3 Leaf in 2022, as a partner and Director of Finance involved in all aspects of 3 Leaf’s developments. He has primary responsibility for the funding of the firm’s projects and all aspects of the capital stack.

    Mr. Flaherty is an accomplished professional with 30 plus years of legal and financial experience. Prior to joining 3 Leaf, Mr. Flaherty was a Director with the municipal finance department of RBC Capital Markets for 16 years. He served as the head of the firm’s Mid-Atlantic practice for his final 3 years with the firm. While at RBC, Mr. Flaherty was involved in over $4Billion in public bond and private placement transactions. He has experience with all types of municipal, economic development and P3 transactions. Before joining RBC, he practiced law for 10 years with a concentration in representing lenders in commercial financing transactions and all types and tax-exempt bond law. Earlier in his career, Mr. Flaherty held positions in the corporate tax department of a bulge bracket investment bank and as controller for a manufacturer of heavy construction equipment.

    Mr. Flaherty received a B.B. A in Accounting and Economics from the University of Notre Dame and a J.D. from the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law.

KEEGAN FLAHERTY

  • Keegan is a Development Associate at ‘Ikenākea Development LLC and supports the team’s efforts on projects in Hawaii. At the project level, he helps take projects through the development process from inception to stabilization. This includes managing the due diligence, underwriting, design, public approval process, environmental planning, entitlement and permitting, closing, and asset management of the company’s projects.

    Prior to working at ‘Ikenākea Development, Keegan graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and studied Business and Real Property Development. He is a member of Rotary with the Hawaii Kai Chapter and a member of NAIOP’s Developing Leaders in Hawaii.

 

VANG YANG

  • Vang Yang is 3 Leaf’s Controller with over 10 years of experience in the real estate industry. She oversees and manages the organization’s Accounting Department. Her responsibilities include but are not limited to overseeing transactions, audits, taxation, planning, accounting systems, project accounting, cash management and financial reporting. Vang has also owned a martial arts studio in Lodi, CA since 2001.

    Vang holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Humphrey’s University. Vang enjoys her time away from the office traveling and spending quality time with her family.

LAUREN FLAHERTY

  • Lauren Flaherty is the assistant marketing coordinator at 3 Leaf Holdings and supports the team's overall marketing efforts from print, website, and social media. Lauren works to generate information about 3 Leaf all the way from projects that have been completed, current projects, and developments on the forefront. This includes assisting in the management of the company website, upkeeping company social media, overseeing print publications, and creating overall brand awareness.

    Lauren is a recent 2022 graduate from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo studying communications. Beyond academics, she has experience as a former author for a lifestyle magazine and has assisted in creative and communication processes for smaller businesses.

 

COLLEEN FLAHERTY

  • For over two decades, Colleen Flaherty has proven herself to be a highly-focused and detail-oriented graphic designer and artist. Her extensive background in the arts industry includes a wealth of experience driving effective design solutions and managing website design.

    With a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the renowned San Francisco Art Institute, Colleen's artistic talents are well-established. She also holds a B.F.A. Cum Laude, with a focus on Painting and Drawing and a Minor in Music, from San Jose State University, further highlighting her diverse skill set. Colleen's passion for design and her commitment to excellence make her an invaluable asset to any creative team.
